About

Artistic approach

Hanane B. is a painter who presents her work in two worlds: abstract works and mythological creations in abstract realism.

The abstract allows him to express his own vision of the sciences of Man and the Universe.

His works in abstract realism allow him to explore the relationship between man and the passing of time.

His conscientious and meticulous personality is evident in all of his paintings. Surrounded by an immaculate ecru frame that is fully part of the work, his paintings are drawn with precise lines, leaving little room for overflow or indeterminacy.

Hanane is currently focused on her collection of mythological works, "Modern Myths." It is a collection of portraits of statues inspired by Greek statuary. These timeless symbols come to life on my canvases through a palette of blues enhanced with flashes of gold. Each work reinterprets mythological figures by anchoring them in our time, thus connecting them to contemporary sensibilities while retaining their ancient majesty.

This artistic approach aims to explore the duality between the ancient and the modern, the sacred and the profane, but also the relationship of human beings to the passing of time.

In this collection, myths are no longer distant tales. They become modern, current, and speak to poetic souls as well as to the most Cartesian minds.

Shades of blue are recurrent in all of her creations because this color is, according to her, the most energetic and the one that connotes a universality of human accomplishment.

His portraits of statues take on life and volume thanks to oil paint added over a first layer of acrylic.

Some flat areas of color appear eroded and weathered by time thanks to a multi-layer erasure method.

The artist does not hesitate to explore a mix of techniques to bring relief and enrich the story of his works (acrylic spray paint, acrylic markers, oil or dry pastels, collages, textures in relief created with stencils, etc.).

Gold, in paint or leaf, is a recurring element that adds a final touch of sophistication and light to each of his paintings.
